Luib, Isle of Skye
Luib is a tiny village in a fold of the Loch Ainort coast nestling at the foot of the Red Hills. An Luib, the village's Gaelic name means The Fold.
The place of Luib in history was ensured by the brief visit of Bonnie Prince Charlie during his flight after the collapse of the 1745 rising.
There are several other tiny villages strung along this stretch of coast, including Ard Dorch, Dunan and Strollamus.
